Statement

I use organic matter, handmade paper, curated waste, painting, and dying techniques in my printmaking practice to create prints, books, and assemblage art. Research, and experimentation are the most important processes in how I currently create. My passion for protecting the Earth’s environment has become the main driving factor in my current artistic practice. My art bridges the gap between aesthetic, and visually pleasing fine art, and current issues the local, and global environment face today. As an environmentalist it is important that I use my work as an outlet for my research, interests, and frustrations. I want to create art that shows the human hand will always leave some sort of impact on nature. If not as individuals then from the impact humankind will leave on the Earth overall. In an effort to push the viewer toward a curiosity and understanding of  the detrimental results in how humans interact with the earth my work showcases environmental issues  through fine art prints.
